Well, we had planned on getting down to Cannes but the weather, French air traffic controllers & airspace restrictions for the footy put paid to all that (mainly the weather - thunderstorms in the south).

Anyway, leg 1 was from Blackpool to Lydd...

Arrived in France at Le Touquet...

...and, whilst in champagne country, it would be rude not to pay a visit to the champagne caves...

Almost 1 million bottles of champagne...

On to Le Mans en route to Jersey...

On the way home. Just landed at Cherbourg from Jersey...

Then Cherbourg to Shoreham and on up the country until Tamworth where we are welcomed by this...

...so we turn back to Coventry for the night. Final approach to Coventry...

Then, early the following morning, back to Blackpool.

All in all, well worth the trip. Plenty of local produce was consumed too !!

Some great photos there Choppa, especially the rain cloud and the runway, although I would be concerned about the road below and getting muddle up if you had too much Champagne. It certainly looks like you enjoyed your trip

That runway was a little too close to the road for my liking !!

A jolly good time was had by the pair of us. Hoping to repeat in September but probably over Western France.
